Artwork Requirements

General Guidelines Accepted File Formats

Adobe Illustrator (.AI), Photoshop (.PSD), PNG, and .JPG formats.

Resolution:

All files should be created at 300-600 DPI (Dots Per inch) to ensure high-quality print output.

Colour mode:

Artwork should be submitted in CMYK colour mode to accurately match the printing inks used in production.

Size: 

Please provide artwork at the exact size you want it printed. If unsure then consult us. 

Vector Artwork (Illustrator):

Text and fonts need to be converted to outlines to prevent font substitutions.

Strokes and lines: Convert all strokes to outlines to maintain line consistency. 

File Preparation: Ensure all images are embedded and not linked, maintaining the integrity of each file.

Avoid clipping masks: Use the pathfinder tool to simplify shapes instead of using clipping masks. 

Raster Artwork (Photoshop):

When possible, keep each colour on its own layer.

Print Area And Placement:

For our standard garment screen printing, out maximum image size is 2.75" wide by 18.5" tall. If you want a large print size, please reach out to us to discuss further. 



Typography And Line Weights:

Minimum font size is 8PT for standard inks and 12PT for metallic inks. For knocked out text our minimum font size is 12PT for standard inks and 16PT for metallic ink. Results can vary depending on the garments used.

Technical Printing:
For halftones, out our team determine the halftone size and angle for best results. 


Proofreading:

Clients are responsible for reviewing their artwork. Images And Objects Studios is not liable for any errors in spelling or content. 


Art And Design Fees:

Basic art and design services are billed at $65 per hour. Clients will be informed in advance if art/design fees will apply to bring their files up to printing standard. 

AI Graphics:

Due to poor image/file resolution, we will not be accepting AI generated artwork.
